Drinking for title with Drunken Master during gameplay
I'm using Drunken Master and drinking during gameplay with my ranger. Currently I leave my inventory window open and just deal with the fact that it covers a large portion of my screen.
Is there a better way to do this? IMHO drinking should be as easy as using a skill. At least I wish I could just pin a single inventory bag to my screen so I don't have to have the rest of it cover up other useful stuff. For those of you that got drunkard titles during gameplay, how did you do it? Did you leave inventory open, or just pop it open and closed again every minute. Is there a better way? I'm not looking for a script that will allow me to walk away from my computer - or even something that will do it automatically for me. I just think it should be as easy as using a skill. |

press "F11", and then control, there you'll see a bunch of controlls(duh), and scroll down a bit, and you'll see "open bag 1/2"

Thats what I do. I open all bags and keep them off to the left of my screen out of the way and just click an eggnog on DM's recharge (since it is 60 secs) or open my title panel and place it over the open bags as well so I can see my minutes exactly

As posted above, opening a single bag (preferably the belt pouch) will make your inventory slightly smaller, though it insists on attaching it to the paper doll, which is incredibly stupid. I wish there was a way to turn that off.
As you, I'm playing through Drunkard with Drunken Master on my ranger. I'll leave the inventory open if I'm using the 1 minute drinks.... But since I've run out of those, I'll often just close and reopen my inventory every 3 minutes. Depends on how difficult the area is. |

If you have maxed Deldrimor title, Drunken Master + Dwarven Stability will last exactly 3 minutes, which conveniently is when you need to drink more. So drink whenever you refresh Drunken Master/Stability, starting with a 5min drink, then keep refreshing with two 1min drinks. Then you can enjoy the game without having to count minutes still getting the most efficient drunkard gain.

I start with a L5 then I use a timer (that I wrote - I might release when I'm sure the bugs are gone) that plays a sounds every 3 minutes.
Then just: F9, double click one L5 or 3 L1 drinks, then press F9 again and back to the action. |

I just use level 5 drinks and watch my minutes. Usually only do this when vanquishing. Either that or I sit in my guild hall drinking on one monitor while watching a film on the other.

I did the same - mine just beeps every 1 minute. Right now it is a .NET app. If I have time I'll make a web app for this and share it here.

Here's what I do each time I play my necro, who's working on drunkard.
1. Play in windowed mode, leave a bag open as listed above. 2. Open a browser to www.onlinestopwatch.com 3. Set it to a countdown of 3:00 4. Click guild wars, drink a lvl 5 beer, click browser, start countdown. 5. When bell rings, drink 3x lvl 3 beers, click browser, start countdown again. 6. When bell rings, drink 3x lvl 3 beers, click browser, start countdown again. 7. When bell rings, drink 3x lvl 3 beers, click browser, start countdown again. 8. When bell rings, drink 3x lvl 3 beers, click browser, start countdown again. Wheee! This way I don't have to use Drunken Master on all my skillbars, ;-) |

You could just use http://guildwarsholland.nl/drunkard_timer.php which restarts itself, so that cuts out one step.

I think the OP was asking more for there to be a way to use the alcohol without having to constantly open the inventory every time you want to drink. Like have a key bind or something.
Though, honestly, I have no idea how that would work, since "alcohol" is a pretty broad range of items, and I have no idea how they'd make a key bind to use a certain item in your inventory... |

Well, it would be convenient for more then alcohol to have a single item pannel you could put like right next to weapon sets. Not only for drunkard, it could allow for easier weapon switching, cons/personnal cons usage, and other stuff. Anet's got a couple of stuff they're working on, and I'm pretty sure interface isn't their top priority though...
P.S. I have never liked how alcohol works with lv1... so many minutes I have wasted because of those. tbh using 20 lv 1 alcohol in 1 min makes you much more of a drunkard then 20 of 10 hours... but let's not start on this topic xD |
